Docs-as-code, without asking writers to learn Git

Static sites keep content as Markdown in a repository. Docswrite lets writers stay in Google Docs and commits the result for them: one Markdown file per doc, with front matter your framework understands.

Connect GitHub, pick the repository, branch and content folder, and choose a front matter preset. Each publish commits the file; publishing again updates it, so your normal build and deploy pipeline takes over.

How it works

How to publish Google Docs to GitHub

Your CI builds the site; Docswrite writes the files.

  1. 01

    Connect GitHub

Authorize Docswrite, then choose the repository, branch and content path.

  2. 02

    Pick a front matter preset

Next.js, Gatsby, Jekyll, Hugo, Astro or custom: choose the fields and naming (camelCase or snake_case).

  3. 03

    Commit or schedule

Publish to commit the Markdown file now, or schedule the commit for later.

Teams that stopped copy-pasting

I wish you could have seen the excitement on my employee's face when we sent a document. You've created a really great solution to a huge problem.

Michael GrantFounder, Get Current Studio

Docswrite is great. Have been playing around with it for the last week or so, and we are currently evaluating using it for our entire portfolio of clients (~250 blogs a month) as publishing currently takes up a lot of our team's time.

Milena ManolovaCOO, Team Color Codes

We managed to grow our daily traffic with 10% for the first month with docswrite! This really saves us a ton of manual work.
