Google Docs for writing, Ghost for publishing
Ghost has a lovely editor, but most teams still draft, comment and edit in Google Docs. Docswrite closes the gap: the finished doc becomes a Ghost post with its images, tags and metadata.
Connect with a Ghost Admin API key from a custom integration. Docswrite publishes over the Admin API, updates the same post when you publish again, and uses Ghost’s own scheduler for scheduled posts.
How to publish Google Docs to Ghost
A custom integration key is all Docswrite needs.
- 01
Create a custom integration
In Ghost Admin open Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration and copy the Admin API key.
- 02
Connect Ghost
Paste your Ghost site URL and the Admin API key. Docswrite checks it before saving the connection.
- 03
Publish, draft or schedule
Pick a doc, add tags, an excerpt or a canonical URL, then publish now, save a draft, or schedule it in Ghost.
Made for Ghost
Native scheduling
Scheduled posts are created as scheduled in Ghost, in the post’s time zone.
Tags created for you
Tags that do not exist yet are created on Ghost.
Feature image
The first image in the doc becomes the feature image, or set a cover URL.
Safe updates
